Getting Kids to Eat Well
It takes more than just preparing the right foods to psych your kids into eating right.
Check out this advice:
-
Get your kids involved in the entire meal planning process from making the grocery list to
shopping for foods to meal preparation and cooking.
-
Serve kid-size portions and make them ask for seconds
-
Don’t give up on serving healthy foods too quickly. Research has shown that it takes as many
as 10 to 15 exposures for a child to accept a new food.
-
Don’t use high-fat or sugary desserts as rewards. Don’t forbid sweets, but serve them in moderation.
-
Eat meals as a family and set a good example by eating well yourself.
Be creative and your kids will have fun while they eat healthy!
