What Our Customers Say

“Price Rite is my FAVORITE store. I drive up from Wilkes-Barre to the Scranton Store just to get all the buys.
The Produce Dept. is one of the best around. I love the baked goods. The bagels are great. We really love those huge loafs of Italian bread in the Raisin, Rye, and Whole Grain Flavors.
Once I got a slab of those Ribs in a cryovac plastic bag and they turned out great on he grill.
The prices were better then Wal-Mart and you actually had people at the Check-Out counters. For $30 you can get a huge box filled with food.”

“I just had to write to say how much I “love” your store, my daughter’s and I shop there every week. The prices are cheap and the products are name brand for much less. We love the bargains and the cleanliness of the store. The workers are always very helpful and friendly. ….. And I really like the music lol. Again keep giving us those great products at those cheap prices !!!”

“I would like to thank you for providing such great products at very good prices. My husband has been out of work going on 3 years and I will be very honest it has been tough. He was with his company for ..many … years and they closed. It has not been pretty and he is too young for retirement. We have been doing odd jobs here and there. ….. Your store gives us the ability to purchase food at prices that are within reach and still have a little left and for this I thank you!! …. God bless and again thank you!”

– Rosemarie C.

“I have had “the worse” week of my life….It just seemed that no matter who i had to deal with i was on the receiving end of poor customer service. Then i had to run in to Price Rite on Gold Star Blvd. in Worcester, Massachusetts for a few items. It was around 8:30 in the evening on Tuesday, June 28th. I walked up to the conveyer belt to put my food down when I was greeted with a “How are you folks doing tonight”. Wow really…This same person waited patiently for me to count out my change, then handed me my cash back with a “Thank you, Have a great night”. I walked out of that store, my faith renewed in customer service! It just felt wonderful to be looked upon as a human being rather then a number.”

Now Open!

Price Rite has expanded into New Jersey and the new Price Rte of Garfield is now open.

While Price Rite stores have traditionally been a corporately owned brand, this new location will be owned by Inserra Price Rites, a family business which also owns and operates 22 ShopRite stores in New Jersey and New York.

With more 50 Price Rite locations throughou…t the Northeast, the Price Rite of Garfield will be the first in New Jersey. Located at 59 Outwater Lane, the 41,000 sq. ft, the state-of-the-art store will bring nearly 100 full- and part-time jobs to the community.

Price Rite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, Price Rite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price and with the convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements.

Price Rite employs a self service format that includes fresh produce delivered daily; packaged meats; baked goods; a variety of private label and national grocery brands; as well as dairy and frozen food products.

The new store will also feature some of the industry’s leading “green technologies,” including glass doors on dairy cases, and energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration throughout the store.

To further reduce costs and pass along those savings to customers, Price Rite does not advertise or publish a weekly circular. Customers are encouraged to use their own bags or to buy them as needed for 10¢ each, which benefits the environment while containing costs. By focusing on keeping operating costs low, Price Rite is proud to pass significant savings along to its customers.

“I am so excited and grateful to have been given this opportunity by my family to open an Inserra Price Rite in Garfield,” said Lawrence Inserra III, president of Inserra Price Rites. “Our family has been in the grocery business for 60 years and they have left me with an amazing blueprint, which has taught me to always take care of the people you work with and for. I look forward to working with an incredible team for an incredible town and hope that amongst a variety of competition, our quality, price and people attract the community to Price Rite.”

Price Rite is coming to Camden, NJ!

Mayor Dana L. Redd, Senator Donald Norcross, Council President Frank Moran and the Ravitz Family Markets announced today that PriceRite will expand its offering to New Jersey and has begun construction o…n its newest location, scheduled to open in the City of Camden this fall.

“I am proud to partner with the Ravitz family and PriceRite to bring yet another high quality supermarket in Camden,” Mayor Redd said. “I promised our residents access to fresh produce, meats and bakery goods and I am thrilled to be able to keep my word to them. Simply put, our Camden families deserve healthy food options and they will undoubtedly be getting this at PriceRite.”

While PriceRite stores have traditionally been a corporately owned brand, this new location will be owned by Ravitz Family Markets, which also plans to open a ShopRite store in Camden in 2016. The Ravitz family currently owns five ShopRite stores in Burlington and Camden Counties.

“My family and I are grateful to our new Camden neighbors for the opportunity to bring them not one but two brand new supermarkets,” said Jason Ravitz, vice president of retail operations for Ravitz Family Markets. “Expanding our commitment to the city of Camden with the addition of a PriceRite store is a natural next step for us as we work to provide the community with fresh food at great prices.”

Located at 2881 Mt. Ephraim Avenue, the 43,000 square foot, state-of-the-art PriceRite of Camden will bring more than 80 full- and part-time jobs to the community.

PriceRite’s mission is to provide customers with a “clean, fresh, and friendly” shopping experience every day. Also known for its unmatched value, PriceRite offers customers the same quality foods as traditional supermarkets at about half the price and with the convenience of warehouse club-style shopping without the membership fees or bulk-buying requirements.

“Last year’s announcement that Pathmark was closing brought the term ‘food desert’ home for too many Camden residents, taking away their only access to fresh produce,” said Senator Norcross. “Healthy nutrition and affordable options are critical to an individual’s well-being. The Ravitz family understands that and they acted quickly. Now we’re making lemon-aid out of lemons, with not one but two grocery stores coming to the city.”

“I am thankful to the Ravitz family for once again believing in Camden by opening their first of two supermarkets right here in our city,” Council President Moran said. “The opening of PriceRite will not only mean that our residents will have access to fresh and healthy foods, but also job opportunities in their own backyard.”
